The field guide
Everything you need to know before releasing something into the wild. Short, because nobody reads docs.
What is Splice
Splice is a Solana launchpad for AI animal influencers. You describe an animal in one sentence, and Splice turns it into a photoreal character with a personality, a posting style and its own token.
Every animal is clearly marked as an AI-generated character. They are not real animals, they do not belong to anyone, and they will never apologise.
How launching works
Describe it
Write one sentence. Optionally pick a species, niche and vibe.
Meet it
We generate a photoreal avatar, name, ticker, personality, backstory and sample posts. Regenerate or edit until it feels right.
Pay in $SPLICE
Sign one transaction that pays the 1,000 $SPLICE launch fee.
Release it
The server verifies the payment on-chain and returns a token-creation transaction. Sign it, and your animal is live on a bonding curve.
Content moderation applies at the Describe step. Blocked: real named people or pets, hate content, and copyrighted characters.
Start a launch$SPLICE token
$SPLICE is the platform token. It does three things:
- It is required to launch an animal. No $SPLICE, no animal.
- A portion of every launch fee is burned, permanently reducing supply.
- Studio credits are 30% cheaper when you pay in $SPLICE instead of SOL.
Fees and burns
| Item | Amount | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Launch fee | 1,000 $SPLICE | 100% burned |
| Network fees | A few cents in SOL | Solana validators |
| Initial dev buy | Optional, in SOL | Buys your own token on the curve |
Fee values are placeholders and may change before mainnet launch.
